A very long day.

Larisa comes back home tomorrow. From her visit to her dad, I would have gone with her but had to stay behind to look after the dogs. She leaves his town on the bus at 5am to Kiev airport then to Amsterdam to Birmingham Airport I will pick her up at 9.15pm. That is one long day for her. Hopefully she will have recovered by Sunday, as she has entered in The Race for Life. Charity race. In Sutton Park.
I will have behave myself now. Mind you I can look after myself, cook clean" etc". Thing is I won,t be able to leave the toilet seat up any more. Can not wait till tomorrow night though.

Crikey, that is a good days worth of travelling, just picked a mate of mine up from a trip to Russia and he had a fair old trek, not as bad as that though. Bet your be glad to have her home although no more using the toilet with the door open!

Hope she doesn't do what my missus did and miss the bleedin' plane when coming back from Dublin.

She was a bit upset as the next flight was the following day. Told her to find a hotel either on or close to the airport and, "don't worry about the cost".

She phoned back an hour later. "Got a hotel, £140 for one night"

All thoughts of cancel, cancel, cancel and rough it in the airport lounge were luckily not transmitted down the phone.

I remember last year, we were flying to Munich in that monsterous storm, and we were one of the lucky ones who managed to catch their conecting flight, we had half an hour to get off the one plane and get on the next, we managed it though and our luggage was with us too.The gods were with us that time. I thought flying through the storm was brilliant. It scared the living daylights out of some of the passengers though.
