Default How far do you think prie of VXRs/VXR8's will drop

Just wondering, after watching the news today, how far the price of a VXR or VXR8 will fall in the next 12 months. Saw a Monaro VXR 6.0 advertised, '05 plate, 19000miles and full wortec mods, remap etc for £16k!!! ****** bargain that. I think they'll fall a lot further due fuel costs and tax etc. Anyone agree/disagree. Anyone waiting till they can afford one, like me?

I think the bottoms fell out of the 2nd hand car market, good time to buy, not to sell. the next 12 months prices will come down a little more, esp as
the "R" word is now mentioned on a daily basis..

Trdaers i know say that as far as 'big engine' car values have gone, they have already fallen, so don't hold out for a VXR8 for a tenner.....

Traders want you to buy now, not later. lol
Don't forget that if oil hits $200 a barrel, and petrol hits £2.00 a litre, big V8s will be falling further yet.

That's what i'm hoping for. If I buy a V8 it'll purely be for pleasure, oh and the odd commute to work but saying as I only work 4 miles away, not too bad really. I'll drive it slowly, I promise. Had a try of a vxr8 two weeks ago and have to say i'm very impressed.

Would be nice, depends on how many miles you do.
10-15 mpg may be fine if you do 10K per year, but probably a bit salty if you do 50K.
With servicing, tax, insurance definitely an expensive car to own - even if it's cheap to buy.

edit: ah, I see, not as the main car then. Tempting.

Yes so the VXR8 it is then instead of the planned vectra VXR. Unless of course someone has a very cheap Monaro 6.0 with all of the bits on it for sale at the end of the year!

Hope : doesn't give me grief and start
