it dosen't matter i had the same thing and was told that the network Q service when you buy the car is not recognised as the correct service by vx so 2500 miles later i had to have it serviced or warranty invalid.
    yet another rip off !!

Network Q will service the car if required within a certain mileage, I'm guessing 1000 miles. Unfortunately, if it falls outside that target mileage, you'll have to pay for your next service, unless you check it with the sales executive beforehand and agree for it to be paid for as part of your deal...

    Vehicle : Jaguar XF 3.0D V6

    Trim : Black

    Engine : 3.0D V6

    Year : 0000

Service interval for diesel is upto 30,000 miles.

What does the service indicator say? (keys out of ignition, press the trip button on the dash, the mileage to service should appear in the dash display)

VX keep sending me 'service due' mail. I ignore then, because I use the dash display to determine service interval, that is what it is there for.

Also, EU law sates that you do not have to take your car to main dealer to keep warranty. You only have to use genuine parts, VX service schedule, and use a VAT registered garage to perform the work. You can save a considerable amount of money by going independant. In my opinion the cost at VX is extremely high for what is actually done at that service.

I asked the same question yesterday and my dealer told me it does NOT have to be done every 12 months to keep up the warranty, or done in a Vx dealers as long as Vx approved parts were used, it is governed by how the ECU was set up at PDI. If the car is set for 30,000 then that it when it is due. By my mileage it will not have a service until it is well out of warranty.
When i asked about the AA cover, that was different. Mine ended in September and if it had gone to the dealers for a 12 month service they would have registered it. Work that one out???????????????

mines on the ecoflex service, ie 30K or 2 years or when the spanner flashes up. Had it done wednesday as the spanner was on, 24K and 16months old, but the dealer has stamped it in the eco service bit, not the eco flex. The eco service requires 12months or 20K, so any third party reaidng my servic ebook will think ive had it done late, not early. Should i ring the dealer and get them to sort it out

Andy - have you checked to make sure they have left it on the flex service? and put the long life oil in!

IIRC I read in the service book that if the car is serviced correctly by a vauxhall dealer you will get AA cover till the end of the warranty period - its in the small print somewhere - has anyone done this?
