    Default Holiday Destinations!

    I have just been looking through some old snaps of Hol's I have been on and thought I would see where other people have been and the "best destinations! in your opinion. Preferto know about Beach Holiday's, not clubby area's, and good for wife and soon to arrive kid.

    I could do with a holiday this year but wont be able to as we have a baby due anytime soon, so would like to see whats available for next year and the year after.

    I have been to:
    - Mauritius;
    - Tunisia;
    - Paris (short break);
    - Spain (with the lads );
    - Dubai.

    Out of the above, I must admit that DUBAI was absolutely effin fantastic and would love to do it again.

    We stayed on one of the resorts along the Jumeriah Beach strip and could see the Palm Island being built.

    Check out the pics:
    1st one is the view from the room, half-way up the tower and if you look into the distance, you can see the island being built and the crane's, etc.

    The 2nd is one of the excursions, Dune Bashing in the Desert Sands.

    3rd one is the main Hotel in Dubai, the Burj al Arab (pic not too good).

    Come on folks, lets see some images and I would like to hear your recommendations.

    Default Go to Wales

    I find it much simpler to just throw 2 holdalls in the back and head WEST! Cannot beat the beaches of West Wales. Superb clean sand and sunny () weather! Overhead are Red Kites and Buzzards and (when the better half was fit enough to) we could walk for many miles along the beach and hardly see another soul - until the last 200 metres into Aberdyfi where all the grockles are too lazy to walk more than that from the car park. The image is a little further north near Portmerion and is typical of what we enjoy.

    One of my friends once moaned about how beautiful all the reservoirs were and what a pity it rained so much!

    Another keeps asking why we don't go abroad: Well - apart from the other half's health issues - after 2 and a bit hours we are sitting looking across the Dyfi estuary with pastie and glass of red while they are just queueing at B'ham airport.

    I've been to Dubai a few times mate, it's a stunning place.

    I've been in the Burj Arab, it's amazing, Jumeirah Beach is better to stay in for a relaxed holiday though.

    Abu Dhabi is also superb & is a bit quieter, Dubai is quite manic.

    I went to Sharjah this year as well, not a holiday destination but a great place to visit.

    I am soooooooooooooooooo looking forward to it we will be away for 6 weeks and have booked mustangs harleys and jeeps to cover the trip!
    You would be shocked just how cheap a trip like this costs if you go with mates and leave the wife and kids at home

    Not a Holiday as such. As i working out there. But NW coast of America. From Seattle down to San Francisco. I did a lot of travelling and camping while working out there.
    And Malaysia was a fantastic place.

    We have a house just outside Orlando, Florida. I've been here 18 times now. We never want to go anywhere else and never get remotely bored there
