Clutch pedal

Picking up car , hopefully Saturday , however did notice when test driving that the clutch pedal although not stiff as such, but felt as if it has quite a strong return spring almost feeling like it forces yer leg up quite quickly as it were, is this fairly normal on these (2003 2.2 Elegance) have to say I'm driving a Ford focus (I know it's Blasphemy!!) at the moment and that clutch is very light in comparison, which maybe why it feels as it does I don't know; I've driven a 1.8 and 2.2 sri a while back (2004/2005 versions)and don't remember them feeling like that.

My clutch is as light as a feather(2.0 dti 03)

my clutch is also really light - much lighter than my old pug 406. Although the top couple mm of travel have bit of a creaky feel - does it need oiling do you think?

Is it a diesel thing?
My petol sri didnt use one, but the pedal box I just fitted to it from a dirty diesel has a extra return spring.
Still works the same but with an extra twang on return
