    Default Printer Advice

    Folks,

Another one of them choices choices choices things.

My bl33ding printer packed up over the weekend, its a Canon IP1500 Pixma, basically the ink cartridge carried is not letting ink through anymore, so first of all, if anyone has a SCRAP IP1500, would you possibly think about selling me the cartridge carrier?

Secondly, as cheap as they are, I may just replace, have 2 options:
    - Canon IP 2600 - Approx £40.00 (1 ink tank for Black and one for Colour) or
    - Canon IP 3500 - Approx £60.00 (1 ink tank for Black and 3 seperate ones for Colour).

    Whats your thoughts people?

Would like to stick with Canon as the IP1500 has been reliable and inks tanks have been cheap as chips through a good website.

    HP are too expensive!

    Pix coutesy of Google.co.uk!

Ok, help at hand, I had a ip3000, fantastic machine, eventually it died, but not before I'd refilled it 20 times, I replaced it with an Epson R220 which although slower is also a fantastic little printer, anyway, if you check this link I'm gonna post.... https://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/...tml?CAN-IP2500 ..... you will see you can now get replacement CLi carts for just over £2 ..... https://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/...tml?NOV-CC0141 .... these also refill, hth.

Rest assured they are a 100% company, I've used them for ten yrs now and they seldom get beat on price, rank 4th in customer satisfaction league, and if you see the top 3 you'll know why they ain't top of it.

I'd get one that prints labels if I was you, it makes home movie archives look so much better than some scribble with Debs Blackpool 06 written on it, I think it's the ip4300 upwards that have this function.

Or check PC World, they sometimes have store ones with the tanks missing for sale in the bargain section, you already have the tanks and leads, so this would be worth checking, btw to refill you just push the tank in on the top, fill up and wait till ink drops out of the pad, then tilt it to stop the flow, top up and push a bung in the hole, turn off ink monitoring and it doesn't bother you again until the chip fails, I'm still filling mine 18 mths on.

£31.71 all in with next day delivery.....cheapest I have come across yet.

    https://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/basket.jsp

Im probably just going to buy this one as all I really need it for is day to day s5h1t3y printing. Very rarely do I do photo's, very infrequent!!

You say these Novatech are pretty reliable yes??
