    Default Wheel Alignment ???

One of my big bug bears is when my car steering wheel is not central when driving in a straight line. I have noticed mine isn't true at the moment. Its slightly to the left. I have had the wheel alignment checked and have been told it's fine and correct.
I keep getting told that its probably just the road camber. Does anyone else have this on their vectra?
I have had it checked at a local tyre fitting place and not at a vx dealer. Is it worth getting it checked there? Anyone know any good places in the north east nr. m'bro?

I have the same problem on my new signum. I'm hoping new suspension and alignment will sort it out, but I had a corsa years ago that had the exact same problem and it never got any better

When I picked my Vec up earlier in the year it was slightly off to the right so I had the alignment checked (way off apparantly?!) and corrected and now it's slightly off to the left!

I had mine aligned "the wheel" when i fitted 19" snowflakes. Driving in Europe the steering wheel was always to the right. Big Phil told me it was the road camber. When i got off the ferry at Dover the wheel was to the left a touch. I thought smart man is Big Phil.

Did have this problem, your car needs a "Full Wheel Allignment" there is a post on here somewhere on this issue, it used to drive me nuts, then the tyres wore down - the stearing went straight - change of tyres - problem worse....Absolutely fine now, tyres wear perfectly even cost me £48 but worth every penny to save my sanity and tyres

I've had the same problem after a prang a few weeks ago, car is pulling severely to the left and its definitely not camber. Took it back to the garage who discovered the alignment was out by 7mm- fixed it and gave it back.

Its back in today cause it started to pull again and is worse than ever. Unfortunately the insurer uses Arnold Clark who's response was - "WELL WE FIXED IT AND ITS NOT OUR PROBLEM"

Up shot is that it is back with them even though they are not interested so we'll see what happens.

Incidentally, had this problem when i first got the car and it took them three attempts and a lot of arguing to sort it, should have asked what they did then!

Anyone got any ideas what it could be?
