    Default Final Prep

    After spraying my latest additions, the clear coat has gone a little dull, it doesn't have a nice glossy finish. ANy ideas why? or can I now polish it up when its nice and hard - oooo errrr

    it goes dull because it was too cold when painted n left to dry. it needs to be around 35 degress i belive? ( this is what ive always been led to belive?)

    was the clear coat mixed/shaken well?

    I am led to believe that after the clearcoat has set, you use 1500 wet&dry then a rubbing compound such as 3g.
    Then polish to a shine.

    I was told that the clearcoat has a top layer that has to be finished as above.

    try this as it also helps loose "orange peel effect" just leave it a day or two to completly dry tho

    Hmmm, i have some 1200 grit, is that too much? also have the rubbing compound.

    abit rough i would say? 1500-2000 grit much safer.

    i used 2000 n rub it on its self then use it.
    (use in touch ups on chips n small scratches)

    Maybe i'll get some 2000-3000 first then. In the mean time, cutting compond and elbow grease
