I recently took my 2.2DTI on a high speed round trip to Denmark, all told i did 1900 miles, at times on the Autobahns cracking 120+(clock speed) and it returned 42.1mpg. This is genuine MPG, not the OBC one. I was well impressed with it considering the speeds involved on the return journey..(900 miles in under 12 hours)

Round town i do struggle to get more than about 425 to a tankful, and i start clogging it, then it has been down to 300 miles a tank!!

In answer to your original question...

What sort of driving have you been doing?? All round town, or motorway's??

It does seem to be pretty good, i know i would be well happy if i could get that range from my 2.2DTi.

that a mixture, i live in east anglia so its a mixture of all types.

    I do a lot of 70mph stints, i would say about 60-70%.

I use cruise control alot and i rarely go over 75mph.

I change from 3 to 5 gear when 3rd hits 40- 45 mph, that has helped alot because before that I got 505 miles on the 2 tanks before this.

as they say its not what you drive its how you drive it.

I have 6 miles left on my computer and i have done 570 miles from full. Its all A roads doing 50 - 60 mph with cruise ctrl. I never drive hard and feather the throttle and change up to a higher gear at the lowest revs possible.

If im only doing 35 ish mph + ime in 5th gear.

Great cars for mpg and mph if you need it.
