    Default SRi alloys

I've got my sri alloys now, and was going to buy some locking wheel nuts when the spotty gimp in the shop asked me whether i had the right nuts anyway?

He said i couldn't fit the sri alloys with the nuts from my steel rims?

Is this so? If so, where can i get the right set at the right rpice inc. locking nuts???

    Cheers in advance guys...

JCB, I had the same prob when changing from steels to alloys, the main dealer parts dept said they were the same, the guy i bought the alloys from said they were different and threw them in with the wheels anyway, but they look exactly the same as my steel ones.

Alloy wheel nuts have a chamfered collar, between the bit where the spanner goes and the thread, where as steel ones are much more like a basic looking bolt.

If you fit the wrong ones the nuts can work loose and / or crack the alloy wheel.

Halfrauds sell them, or I guess VX wouldn`t be too expensive. Or any alloy wheel supplier near you, I paid £1.50 each for a set ...
