Has anyone come across this before?

Tried to register onto ebay and when i typed in my email adress it had already been used.
So i tried to find out the username it had been registered with and i had an email off ebay with a differnt name and and an account name.

Have emailed ebay concerning this, but was just wondering what i do now?

nope never heard of that, kinda weird that someone would do it. Do a password change on the account and then close it once logged in.

Never had that before. Seems a bit odd, someone using your e-mail addy. Maybe open up another e-mail account so you can start with e-bay?

have you ever tried to register before cause if you have ebay will have kept a note of the email address

I have..... when ebay was first set up it didnt recognise real email address'!!! so the pikeybayers were using spoof email accounts that did NOT exist, getting payment then leaving.

No mate, have never tried to register before, well not with this account, did years ago with an old account but closed it down bout 2 years ago.

Someone could have an email address very similar to yours and they could have entered it wrong when they registered????
