    Default Signum 3.0 V6 wobble

Hi Guys, Just having a bit of a nightmare just bought the signum (Fantastic) but it has a wobble when i accelerate over 50. The garage has had it for five weeks and have changed the drive shafts and stability arms. Now they have said it is something to do with the engine management system is that right? they are having the software updated as well. Has anyone else had this problem?

It wobbles on the steering wheel and through the car. I have had the wheels balanced 4 times and tracking done. But when cruising there isn't a wobble, its starts as soon as i accelerate. Have you had the same problem?

No not really wobble through the steering wheel,i was asking because most 3.0 v6's at lower revs accelerating in 4th or 5th there is normally a bit of a jutter, and it just the start of the engine pic up.
have you tried air filter clear out , i just got a K&N for mine and it is far smoother acceleration maybe worth a go

Never had this before. They are very sensitive to getting the wheels balanced spot on, but thats about it. It sounds like the garage don't know either and are just replacing parts hoping it solves it - hence the problem still being there. I hope they are not charging you for this and are talking compensation for ruining your new car experiance.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

Might be an outside chance it could be the engine mountings, as you accelerate thats when they have the most strain on them.

    Are you acelerating hard?
Could it be traction control related?
I would think if it was engine mountings the judder/wobble would be constant. Can you physically shake the engine to see if it has any movement in it, I know that will not be easy.
Do your front tyres have equal wear on them, as if one is nearly new and one is nearly on the limit they will have different grip which will mean the traction control will have to work harder to keep both turning at the same speed.
Just some thoughts hope they help.
3.2 v6 Signum and loving it

Try swapping the wheels front to rear, could be an out of shape tyre.

Or better still, see if someone off here lives close and can lend you their wheels for an hour. Swap all wheels over and test it. This will at least eliminate anything to do with wheels and tyres.

Or maybe get the Vx dealer to do this for you. They must have some similar wheels they could borrow off a car.
