Default anybody with a Vec / Signum Design

If so can you explain how you work the heating controls. These are listed as having "automatic air conditionning" different to having just "air conditionning" on lower models

But its not the electronic climate control that the elite has

can somebody explain the difference between aircon and automatic aircon plz ?

    many thanks

Aircon is basically an on/off button with a temp dial. Auto A/C is where you set the temp - ie to 18 degrees. The auto was an option but standard in all the V6 Models. The Elite was standard with the auto A/C
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

so if you set the temp with auto A/C

how does this differ from the ECC ? i always thought climate control was that you set a temp, instead of manually controlling fan speed.

    Vehicle : Opel Insignia

    Trim : Cosmo

    Engine : 2.0 CDTI

    Year : 2011

    Default

Auto AC only controls the temperature; ECC has auto control of the fan speed and ventilation openings, two zones and more sensors (and air quality sensor and cooled handglove compartiment)

Elite had Climate Control. There are three different options that you'll find on a car according to spec normal AC (simply chucks out the cooled/warmed air at a constant rate depending on the temp dial setting), auto AC (as explained above) and Climate Control (as above)

Automatic has it as well. And what I find annoying is if it's too hot outside you have to switch on air conditioning by yourself - in my previous car when AUTO was on it was freezing automatically.

    This makes EEC

You learn something new everyday! I always thought AutoA/C was ECC
Never knew there were 3 different types
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

    This makes EEC

so auto ac lets you set the temperature in degrees as opposed to having 1, 2, 3, 4 etc..

but is otherwise the same as normal ac in that you control fan speed and direction yourself ?
