    Default Race of Champions -recommended!

Went in 2007 and took SWMBO. She took a book expecting to be bored but thoroughly enjoyed it. It was an excellent day - spectacular to watch as it's gladatorial 1 to 1 racing. There were also interesting demos between the races, eg F1, Audi DTM car etc.

We were wrapped up to the nines and still not very warm. Sitting for several hours in an open stadium in December you'll need your thermals, moonboots, ski mitts and a good thick coat!

Secondly the food and refreshment arrangements are an absolute shambles. Totally failed to cope despite the place being half empty, just to add insult to injury the rules don't allow you to take in flasks or other drinks. This year they have reduced the ticket prices to try to fill the place which will make matters worse. Don't rely on getting any food or even hot drinks during the day. Take biscuits!

We're going again this year. Enough said.....
