Exclamation rear electrics? what am i doing wrong?

I been to Vauxhall and had it all activated via tech 2

Fitted the looms to the doors, they lock ok, the light illluminates on the switch, but i cannot get the motors to work either using the switches on teh drivers door or on the rear doors themselves?

I have moved the position switch on the front door control to rear, dont work

Fuses are in the fuse box for the windows and all ok

Ignition on or off they still dont wanna play!

Any ideas please... its doing my tiny brain!?

    Thanks

Think you will find they need activating via tech2 with all the parts fitted. That way tech2 can the do a system test on the windows and operate them.

Did you have the rear windows enabled via tech2 prior to installing all the parts?

I had all the parts plugged in but not actually installed in the doors... do you reckon thats what i need to do then?
If so how do i get the rear windows up without power to them? Need to get to the dealers to be able to get the tech 2 done again

Can't be that as I had my TECH2ing done before I fitted the parts.

Or maybe I had the loom fitted, the the TECH2, but didn't have the regulators in

Is it because you have a facelift, didn't Lofty try this and realised that the connectivity isn;t even in the looms to the rear doors and would meant changing those as well

Mines a facelift and worked no problem, some early ones didn't have the correct wires in the body harness but I presume he checked for that prior to installing the bits.

I had my windows programmed prior to fitting the bits but they didn't work once installed. I got them re-tech2'd and they worked fine.

That must be it then, mines a pre-facelift and the pre-install TECH2 was enough.

Perhaps the facelifts need the stuff in place

I know when mine was tech'd it ran through a system test an opened all the windows. In my experience all the things I have fitted have had to be enabled and programmed once everything is fitted.

You did check the wiring in the blue door plug before fitting all this didn't you?

leeds vectra... hey mate, systems test lol? When i had mine programmed all that happened was programmed in REC which i'd done already and then tech2'd in the BCM.. tech2 doesnt go through a system test unless you manually use the actuator output to test them yourself. maybe this is what you mean?

To the case in hand though, either its not enabled in the REC thus no power to the motors.. or not enabled in the BCM thus not recognising key presses (which was what mine was doing) or you havent got the extra pins in the body loom for the motor power?

You can manually move them up and down by undoing the 2 x torx screws which attach the motor to the regualtor, move the motor away, gently turn the cog by hand whilst helping the window into the position you want to go..

    had an idea...

We've got a rolling road day on saturday.. http://forum.vectra-c.com/showthread...t=rolling+road

come down to this as a guest/visitor meet some of the lads, I'll bring the laptop and be able to tell ya whats up with the windows.. Also theres a vauxhall dealer less than 5 mins away who'll be able to sort out any tech2'ing if necessary...
