3.0 V6 CDTi differences

I have noticed a couple of posts insinuating that there is a difference between the original 3.0 and the facelift 3.0.

Are there differences and if so, what are they?

the facelift is a Euro 4 engine and has a diesel particulate filter, the pre facelifts don't have this and as a result are far happier in a tuned state.

the facelift pushes out 184PS whereas the pre-facelift 'only' has 177PS

and the facelifts have a small percentage of what the pre-facelifts had in terms of equipment i.e. self dimming mirror

Thanks for that info. I am not interested in tuning the engine. I am though interested in you equipment statement. I have just bought a facelift Elite Hatchback. Are you saying that the pre-facelift had more toys?

I suspect there were two versions of the pre-facelift
I first saw one locally, another SRI but on a 04 reg
It had electric mirrors and dimming rear view mirror
Mine is a year later and has neither, but it has a different rear bumper

You will be ok with the Elite as it has retained most toys that were removed from the lower specced models

I thought that the 3.0V6 CDTi got twin chome exhaust pipes. My car does not.

Not on the Elite m8, they are hidden. Only the SRI (and GSi) get visible tails

My 06 facelift Siggy 3.0 Elite has twin chrome tail pipes as standard and pretty sure the VX brochure states standard fitment on all 3.0 Cdti but wouldn't sear to that until I've double checked.

As stated, Elite's come with most of the toys but not the powered tailgate of the Veccy estate (design and elite) which would have been a nice
