Yeah I got this in the post on Thursday and so far its not impressed me at all.. The cars are hard to control and spin out easily and the AI cars just disappear in front of you into the distance, even a car that had spun out and was stationary when i was approaching it out accelerated me and disapeared into the distance despite me being flat out at the time... i think that this along with the New Quake wars enemy territory will be on ebay by monday..
Downloaded the demo for the Ps3 and wasn't impressed enough to buy it. The last Race Driver game from Codemasters was the same. Car control is nothing like realistic and that counts me out straight away as I hate arcade type games. The graphics are good though, I'll say that, but not good enough to get away from the gameplay.
I know it doesn't answer your question Bill, what platform is it on?
I have it on ps3, but im sure it would be the same for xbox, when your in races theres no option to invite friend which i think is pretty crap, or im just missing the whole point of t =/ its a fairly ok game i just fancied something abit different to cure my boredom for 12 days till MGS4 comes out.
I've not looked at the Online play, But you'd have thought they would come up with an easy way to invite friends such as it is in GTA4 & Cod4..
glad MSG isnt coming to the 360.. Wasn't impressed by the scripted gameplay on the last MSG game i played, i prefer free roaming gameplay..
You'll also have Gears of war 2 on ps3 at the end of the Year Also not sure if its out for the ps3 but battlefield bad company is out towards the end of June..
i got grid on the 360 and thinks its a great game, once you get used to the handling, drifting round corners and through chicanes is fun, and there is more depth to the game then i first thought, quake wars on the other hand is pretty pants, multiplayer might be able to save it but the single player campaign is so easy i got halfway through it before i got bored
Bought it and love it (haven't played COD4 since I got it which is some sort of record). Wait until you get used to it, turn catch up off, play in Pro mode, it rocks.
When inviting people you need to open a new game, when in the lobby press the XBOX button, then add to game from there, there is no short cut in there like on COD4, you have to do everything manually.
this game totaly rocks ok the drifting was hard to master but the overall gameplay is superb. the online is not so good as all you get are a###holes that just want to take you out and have no intention of racing. i have even put GTA4 to the back of my box as i think it was over hyped and not as good as previous editions.
