Question Hesitation - been told fix is Software upgrade?

My 55 plate 1.9CDTI 150 went into Vauxhall's for a third time yesterday with strong hesitation at 10-30% throttle between 2-3k revs. Both previous times, they cleaned out the EGR valve and both times after driving out of the garage, it still does it. I have the EGR replaced in Feb this year and they knew this but anyway, thats a different story.

Now they have my car in for the third time and the engineer who I took out in it to demonstrate the problem has confirmed that its not the EGR but is baffled so I took away a curtesy car and they said it will have to be tested over the next few days.

Just had a call to say that they have contacted vauxhall tech team and they have said there are many complaints of this occuring and that a software fix is coming out in two to three weeks time to solve it.

Does this make sense to anyone?????

Totally, my dads SRI CDTI 150 had to go in for a DPF download a few weeks ago. I also had a spilit vacuum pipe which flicked on the spanner light. Also had great hesitation in shifting from take off, so was told it needed the Software download.

Touch wood, it seems OK since!!!

Would a problem like this not be all over the forums if it was a software fault? They say the software hasn't even been released yet....Why aren't all 55 plate cars with my software having the same problem???

True say, only the dealers know. Maybe they are talking out of their 4r5e? They did say to me though that they couldnt find the right download for mine, so had to put on the same one again but as a fresh install!??! So god knows mate!
