    Thumbs up FOC brake service :D


    Yesterday my beast had all new 4 brake pads installed and all 4 disks rectified....and yes if was free of charge
    well...almost had to hunt down the dammmm brake pad sensor in several dealers...can you believe that from 3 dealers in town only one have them in stock! How the hell they give services if they don't even have the freaking sensor! 16 GBPs BTW

    At least they had your brake pads and discs in stock
    None of the VX dealerships I use in the Glasgow or Paisley area keep them in stock for the 3.0 V6 CDTI
    Demand for the brake sensors is also quite high, so you would think they would keep some in stock, but they are all probably used up by 10:00 on pre-planned servicing

    Well forgot to mention that I got this FOC do to the fact that one of my clients which I`m building a house for him has a business where they rectify disks and sell and install pads...you know he is in the brake business

    I had to place a special order when I wanted a set of brake hose banjo wahers - apparently they're not a Vx stock item

    Love my Vec no doubt but for me is kind of nonsense to have to struggle to get spares and wait long periods of time on simple stuff that for me a basic for servicing a car.

    Well done getting the brakes done matey, My local dealer if no different that the rest, nothing hardly in stock, you have to pay for it before they will order it and then have to wait a couple of days, which is fine if you are pre planning your job , but not when it breaks that day.


    So Cmon Vauxhall pull you finger out and get those bits in stock

    Yeap Phil...sad but true....those little details upsets me....I wonder if most car brands work that way.
