    Default Problems with heater speeds

    Hi all

I am a newbie and am after some help. I have the common problem of the fan only working on speed 4. I have searched this site and found the problem was the resistor and have replaced this and was blessed with a fan for 1 whole day.

Now I am back to no fan or full speed. What can I do??

Suspect reason benny is saying to replace the motor too is probably the water that dripped down through the pollen filter also corroded the motor itself and was struggling to turn which caused the new resistor pack to burn out.

    bang on dad......

when you get a new motor, drill a tiny 2mm hole at the lowpoint of the housing to drain any water out that collects again..

How did you check the resistor? The classic signs of a failed resistor is that the speed will only work on setting 4.
