    Default any tips on how to cut the rear valance to show my exhaust tips

    Getting my new exhaust fitted tomorow but i havent got the new rear valance with the exhaust cut outs from vaxuahall yet so im going to cut my existing valance untill new one gets delivered.

    But what do i use to cut it any tips appreciated.
    Cars a signum.

    Be very careful, this is how I did mine:

    * If you look there should be a pattern on the inside of the valance/ skirt.

    Method 1: Use a sharp stanley knife and carefully cut from the inside - starting from one side to the other. - Sand any edges left from cutting.

    Method 2: Use a Coping saw blade or Hack saw blade and cut around from underneath - being very careful.

    Top Tips - Use Masking tape on the outside/ painted areas - to protect against cracking or slips. Take your time!

    God I cut mine to show the twins in the back after I installed some new chrome tips....the bad new is that I don't seem to find the thread with the process and the pics
    Admin can you help to find my thread, so the mate here can have some reference ?

    Buy a Dremmel. Easy to hold and keep steady. It comes with a wide selection of cutting tools that are perfect for the job you are on about. I used one to cut my bumper and there were no problems.

    Rob, you said that you had the exhausts that point down (instead of going straight towards the back), so did you cut that part off or did you fit the tips straight over them? Cheers!

    method 36584: As your p***ed off with thinking of ways of cutting it, Kick it until it breaks a hole large enough for your exhausts
