Hi all,
is the vauxhall mobile phone kit easy to fit/purchase?
I have a 56reg elite and wondered if they were any good and if they were intergrated with the colour display?

Are you talking about the bluetooth kit? If so then its a bit complicated, a loom has to be created plus a Tech2 session - if you do a search on here on Andy.l's posts you'll see the work involved.
Probably easier and cheaper to fit a Parrot kit.
Ive tryed to PM Andy.l's but no reply
Does any one else know anything about the kit??
I would like to have the vauxhall kit if poss but might have to go down the parrot root if its not possible.
Have you read his thread ? http://forum.vectra-c.com/showthread.php?t=46773
He's got a lot on his plate at the moment, so he's not been on very oftern.
It can be yes no problem.
Andy fitted to mine. It integrates totally with the display and and a new tab us added via Tech 2. (My radio is the CD70)
It's voice activated and the quality is superb.
As Shan said (lol) unfortuniatly Andy is a bit busy with other stuff at the moment but I'm sure he'll get back to you when things settle down.

Thats good news then, cheers for the replies, I have to learn to be a bit more patient I think!! lol
Ive got used to the quick replies of everybody on here now.
Im going to see if I can get the parts and fit the kit, watch this space!
It's not easy.
I know Andy didn't want to put a step by step guide up in case people ******ed up their cars. My 57 plate SRI needed half the dashboard and most of the roof ripping out together with additional looms. Then you need to find a REALLY REALLY good Tech 2 guy who knows what they are doing.
Best of luck anyway but make sure you know exactly what you are doing before you start cutting wires behind the dash.
just out of interest Stevel, how long did it take to fit??
Hmm this will be very rough because I didn't watch the whole thing.
The roof loom/Mic. was done the night before. Around an hour.
Installing the control unit sorting out the wiring and putting the dashboard back together was maybe an hour and a half.
The Tech 2 time was quite long. About an hour and a half which included sorting a speaker problem.
All told around four hours but this does not include the time spent making up the relevent wiring before it was installed. It could have been up to an hour or so more because I refused to watch once the dashboard was in bits.
Bear in mind that the Tech 2 guy working with Andy knows the system inside out. The only delay was sorting the speaker and he fixed that in 10 minutes.
HTH
