I am looking to isolate the EGR valve so that exhaust gasses are not fed back into the engine. I do not plan to remove the EGR valve as this is not giving any errors. There are 3 pictures below
Looking at the bottom pic in particular, having studied the engine at some length to find what I think is the EGR valve, it seems to me that the corrugated silver pipe is used to feed exhaust gasses back into the engine. Can someone confirm this please? I assume then that unbolting the two bolts on the corrugated pipe at the phlenum chamber end and inserting a blanking plate would isolate the exhaust gasses? If this is the case then I would think that this would be by far the easiest method to remove any exhaust gas recirculation.
Thanks for feedback.
