Take it to somewhere like Hellfrauds? Even a main dealer? It must be a 2 minute job for someone who knows what they're doing.
on the back is a slot .put a blade in there and twist.. the key part will slide of the fob. you then open the fob in to 2 bits.
that will get the blade off..
what you don't know is there is a time limit on how long you can do the job for before the key will need resync ing to the car..
you need to replace the battery in under 30 seconds.. so, take the new one out of the packet BEFORE you start....
located the blade release slot on the back of the key, insert a thin screwdriver and twist, the blade will slide forwards and off.. you will now see a red seal running around the middle of the keyfob.. seperate the keyfob along that sealline.. the battery will now be exposed.. very carefully ( and quickly) so that you don't break the retaining legs, flick up the old battery and shake it out and slot in the new battery.. panic is now over..
reassemble the key and try the remote on the car.. it will work fine if you were quick enough.. if not the procedure to resync it is in the handbook that came with the car..
forget 30 secs, took marks advice and had the new battery ready, literally it was just a split second, well maybe 2 secs maximum, went out to test it and it didnt work!
tried it even quicker with the second key and still didnt work!!!!!!!!!
luckily it was just a case of putting the key in the ignition to re-synch them
I have to re-sinc my key every now and then, It just decides it doesn't want to unlock the doors.
Slot it in the ignition and it's done.
Have changed the battery and it still does it, Inconvenient sometimes but not realy a problem.
if you keep it in a pocket and it gets pressed by accident a few times it can go out of sync with the car.
