    Default Hardwiring GPS using miniUSB?

    Ok...trying to plan ahead.

Need my Holux GPSlim GR-236 installed so that it switchs on with the car.

How do I hardwire a minUSB cable in at 5V?

Do I just hack open the cigarette lighter adapter and take it from there?

Want to mount the GPS behind the rear view mirror or in the rear side window of the car (estate).

    Any ideas or advice appreciated

Not sure about your equipment, but I have a Navman hard wired into the lighting switch.
