Got myself a vectra 1.9cdti design with the above mentioned h/u. I have heard about a "secret" menu and that it can play MP3 discs is this true? Thats all I need to know for now cheers

I think the later one's (07 onwards?) can play MP3's, the earlier ones don't.

Some can, and some can't.

I have MY2007 and it doesn't work for me

I've got a 57 plate with a CDC40 DAB radio. As far as I can see, MP3 does not work. If you look at Duncan's link here to the archive brochures, the 2nd edition 07 Vectra brochure says that the CDC40 is MP3 compatible but the 1st edition does not - so I think it must have been a change in second half of 07 - ish.

my o8 works fine with mp3s i have 6 discs crambed in my 1.9 exclusiv w plus pack

56 plate opera 40 plays MP3 Cd's and also shows artist and track listing with no modification.

Stugga - looks like you have the same car as me - exclusive with plus pack - just a little newer. So far I have had no luck with MP3 but I can't say whether I've maybe got the format right or wrong. Any chance you could 'loan' me a known working disc that you have proved in yours - just to confirm it once and for all. I would happily post it back with postage costs or otherwise reimburse you for the disc etc. If so I'll PM you my address and stuff, Ta.

Have you had any problems with your DAB losing it's presets memory?

In the meantime I am working on an ipod solution which I hope to 'How 2' on here later.
