    Default buzzing noise

    i had a problem coming off a roundabout the car just cut out after few mins it started again but with spanner light it now makes a buzzing sound continuosly from the centre or rear of car as soon as ignition is switched on it buzzes any ideas as i think its electrical

    might be something to do with the arial or alarm, have you tried doing different things to see if it stops? things like turning the radio on or setting off the alarm?

    its loudest under the car no noise inside radio off still there was'nt doing it till it cut out at 50mph thinking it maybe fuel pump

    i might be the fuel pump as i think its sit under the back seats

    We had a quick look at this today and are indeed suspecting the low pressure fuel pump.

    thanks for looking at car Dean more money gotta be spent now
    ill have a go at changing it myself is it in the tank or on top forgot to ask thanks

    Its actually inside the tank. Says procedure is roughly, 'remove rear seating bottom' peel back cutout in carpet. prise plastic access cover off. disconnect wiring. mark fuel hoses and disconnect (on quick release fittings), Using vauxhall special tool unscrew the lock ring ( will have to see what this special tool is), lift fuel pump cover away from tank until wiring can disconnected from the underside of the cover. remove fuel pump cover and collect the sealing ring from top of the tank... release 3 retaining tabs by pressing them inwards then lift the fuel supply pump out of the tank. Also check the fuel filter whilst its out too.. refitting is reverse of removal!
