    Cool Calipers

Guys looking for the best advice. Looking to do my Calipers and dont know wether to pain or whatever else you can do to them (to colour) My car is star silver and i have the SnowFlake alloys. Dont know what colour to do them so looking for your most valued opinions. I have the 2.0 SRi Turbo XP and want to keep the standard look, if you know what i mean, and dont want to look too much like a boy racer (being 32 years LoL)

    Thanks guys

I think most people paint them themselves. Usual colours are either red or blue. Star silver car with snowflakes? Go for red in my opinion, although for the more 'standard' look, hunt around for a close match to the standard blue VXR paint (and let me know when you find some!)

They are easy to do, you dont even need to take the caliper off. I used halfords brake caliper paint on mine

Posted this in another thread but may be of some use.

I used ordinary touch up paint.

Give them a good clean with a fine wire brush, 2 coats of Arden Blue with the touch up stick, (did take ages but better than getting overspray everywhere), 3 coats of standard laquer and job done.

Did them about 6 months ago and still as good as new. The advantage of the laquer is that the dust just simply washes off and of course, stops the paint from chipping.

Unless you are going to be thrapping it 24/7 and stomping on the brake pedal, there's no fear of it burning off. Used this method on quite a few of my previous cars now and never had a problem. Hope this helps.

As for the wording, there is a selection of caliper decals to choose from.
