Are there any around that cover pretty much everything?? What do people recommend? Can you quote from experience? It strikes me that some of these warranties aren't worth the paper they are written on due to the massive list of exclusions!

Get the Network Q warranty extension before your warranty expires
Third Party warranties are generally acceptable up to 50K miles, after that there are all kinds of exceptions and exclusions
Check out their standard rates though, as a dealership may quote four hours labour, but the part may only be covered for much less than that!
I bet the AA one is rubbish, just like most AA services.
My VX warranty is no more due to 60k + miles... so still looking at the various options here.
Ideally I want something that covers all electrics, including the various modules, turbo, running gear, bearings etc...
I still have a non-working rear wiper, intermittent blower problem and have had the spanner light on 3 times now. Was thinking if I take out a decent warranty I can get the dealer to fix all these problems - however the exclusions list on most policies means I probably can't get the wiper or blower sorted without it being chargeable...
Any recommendations would be welcome.
Thanks
I looked into AA and Warranty Direct and decided against them, as there are too many non-mechanical parts which can go wrong which I felt I would have to battle to get covered. Wear and tear is the big 'get out' clause. You can't beat a manufacturer's extended warranty, which is why they charge so much for it.

Warranty Direct cover against wear & tear after 90 days of the policy starting. I used them to get a new intercooler fitted after the core popped. cost me £25 excess instead of £570, paid up no probs. There is another company called 4warranty or something like that that cover from day 1. just read the small print carefully.
I'm in the same situation cars 18months old and warrantys up. Looking on warranty directs site they seem ok.
They won't give me a quote online as i do over 30'000 a year. But im going to ring them on monday get some information sent through as well as searching online for good bad and HORROR stories about them.
Sorry, I wasn't trying imply that you hadn't, I just ment the comment as a general rule of thumb when looking at this type of thing.
This was the other site I mentioned.
