    Default BSR Stage 3 fitment

Well now time for the report…………

    Cuppa tea.

Started @ 9.00am, the Exhaust came off very quickly. Downpipe came off in about 30-40 mins.

Coffee – (Think the milk is off!)

Fitment of new downpipe was quite easy, some tricky bolts to access to remove rear engine stabiliser though. Also the terminators for the lambda probe cable were the reverse to what was actually needed – got round this by simply filing off the locating block. Still locks as it should.

Then there was a power cut for two hours, luckily car was down on the ramp, so upgraded the injectors…....

No Tea or Coffee at this point. (Reverted to pop)

Power back on ……Coffee (Fresh milk)

The exhaust itself went on rather nicely although the clamps supplied could be better.
Also discovered that I needed a couple more exhaust rubbers……after a quick call 2 x rubbers arrive – result!

After fitting the clamps we put a few spot welds on the joints (can be ground off for access) to make doubly sure nothing moved. This was especially true for back boxes that took about 10 mins to get right.

    Coffee and cake

Changed the oil and filter – no flush.

Remap – This took slightly under 5 mins.

Started engine, topped up oil and went out for a drive………..

The biggest issue was a slight knocking from the centre section, due to the expansion of the exhaust, but a lump hammer and a couple of pry bars later all was sorted…… well also after about 4 test runs, some swearing and exhaust adjustment.

    Not yet!

Will give it a full check in a few weeks to see how things are all beding in. Also hope to fit the larger brakes at the same time.

I got one lambda probe cable which had the connector blocks back to front. Worked fine after modifying it tho.

    Nice one mate. Have fun!
The hardest bit is removing\re-fitting the rear engine brace, the rest is easy.
Good luck. Going to check\adjust mine at the end of the month - needs a few tweeks.
