    Default Protest

Has anyone ever came up with the idea of organising a mass meet for scotland or a couple or regions to stage a Vectra-C/Signum Owners group protest against the price of fuel?!

After all we all have big cars that i think i can safely say guzzle the petrol more than your average small car

I just thought something like this would be a good idea seen as lorry drivers etc are doing it! and even bikers are doing it tommorow, it is a biker group from fife, they will be having police escorts travelling from aberdeen(i think) right down over the bridge and into edinburgh and round about there.

would be for a good cause though if it means that they will actually think about lowering the price, its like a strike!? if you go on strike from work but you lose a days pay but all for a good cause?! if you know where im coming from?

and could be good if we could get some publicity involved aswell?

well the high prices will just continue then cos if we dont do something about it then they wont give a rats A** cos they will think that people are just accepting it!
im not saying to go for 100's of miles i just mean somewhere that it will cause havoc!
it annoys me how ppl go on about how high the prices are but they do nothing about it and dont show how much it is affecting them, to make a difference you sometimes need to push the boat out a bit!

Not sure if organising fuel protests through a car owner's club is sensible really....

Complete waste of time IMHO. Anything more than a couple of pence off the tax would need a complete government rebudgetting which isn't going to happen and there aren't going to be many Saudi princes watching to get the message on reducing their crude prices eh?

Got to just live with it I think - same as bread and electricity prices etc.

Well I Dont Wanna Rain On Your Parade But Here Goes ....
I Tried Organising A Protest In The North West - No One Was Interested , Well About 3 To Be Honest. Everyone Moans About Fuel, But When It Comes To The Nitty Gritty No One Can Be A553d.
To Say I Was Dissapointed Was An Understatement.
