    Default bit the bullet today

BSR ppc kit is on the way.
i think i've reached the limits of the engine in 6 months of ownership so lets see how much fun i can have with this on.

ohh, and the braided brakelines have turned up too so they'll be going on with the 314mm brakes

So...how come the Vectra's big brakes are only 314mm, yet the VXR anchors I have on the Astra are 322mm? Is the caliper more powerful on the Vectra VXR brake making a smaller disc suitable?

Suspect it's because the Astra VXR isn't as quick as the Vectra VXR? Maybe?

Or maybe the boffins just thought it would keep things in perspective.. you know, smaller car, smaller brakes...

Just be careful with those, m8 - I'm sure someone else did that and something didn't quite fit. Banjo bolts spring to mind...

Yep, standard ones that come in the brakeline kits have a banjo fitting with clearance for a 10mm banjo bolt. The banjo bolt on the calipers needs a 12mm clearance hole.

I bought a kit recently and the rears didn't fit, but to be fair to Goodridge, they sorted it out and they do know it's a problem.

There's no problem with the front, only the rear.
