VXR Track Day a bit disappointed

Went to Rockingham to the VXR trackday, i did have a very good time but i feel we didnt get very long on the track, i only managed to get in 4 cars, the most i spent in a que was 5 mins for the VXR8, a friend in the other group said he went in 7 cars !

How many cars did you folks manage on your track day ?

i had six and obviously a ride in the speed car ..that was at brands tho

Same as Ian six plus the speed car laps. I watched the queues and tried to miss them, which I managed to do

Im sure we didnt get the full time, in the briefing he said we were behind schedule i guess they never added any at the end to make up for it , i did get a fast lap with the pro driver as well , we were racing another pro driver, was very good fun at one point we were touching mirrors

I can see why you were disappointed....

On shorter circuits, you normally get 2 laps before coming back to the pits.

But for some reason they had us doing 3 laps each at Rockingham.

I would consider Rockingham to be one of the longer circuits, so maybe they should have kept it to 2 laps, so more cars were entering the pit lane more frequently.

Also, I've adopted the position of jumping into ANY car thats not got a queue attached to it... so I get maximum track time.

There was a lot of waiting around, and you would have had to queue for the VXR8's as they were so popular.

However, at Thruxton, Brands Hatch, Oulton Park there was much less queuing... everyone seemed to be on circuit very quickly

No i never queued only for the VXR8 and that was 5 mins, when the laps ended i just walked up to the next car and got straight in i didnt have to wait at all.
