    Default ESP/TC SWITCH installation

hi, I have a problem, could you help?
    I own a vecta c 1.9 cdti 150 hp which, if you could believe, hadn't a ESP/TC switch.

so, i've bought one and put it in his place, baut, surprise, not working

could anyone tell me what's the problem?!
I need so much to deactivate manually the TC!... especially now, when my car is remapped at 200 hp!!!
    pls, pls, pls!!!

Its not always possible. Its like a 50:50 chance of the switch working. Unless it can be tech 2'd off?

There seems to be a bit of "luck of the draw" my 3.2 Elite did not have the switch, but the 3.2 GSI does. So I bought a switch, and mine doen,t work either, strange "eh", Mind you the switch looks better than a blanking plug.
I have asked and they say it can not be Tech 2ed

tech2 is no option: if the switch does not work, it means the cable between the switch on the dash and the ABS-box "is missing"
see this for more; and if your German is ok, here you will find the instructions to fit the missing cable between pin 3 of the ABS-box and the switch

I had ESP as a factory fit, with IDS+ but didn't get the switch . Had to retrofit the dam thing

I think big Pete had the same issue also.

You're telling me. I thought they'd forgot to fit it.

Both Big Pete and I had the same issue, don't make sense

    My German is nonexistent, lol.
Can anyone translate the basis of the PDF on there ?
I've done this online but you know those translators leave a bit to be desired.
There are pins in my switch socket so some wiring is there.
I was just wandering what the relationship is (if any) between the connector block in the passenger footwell where it refers to pin 26, and the mention of pin 3 on the abs connector on the web page.

For example if we have a wire in pin 26, is this the one to use without the need to go to pin 3 on the abs plug ?
Also, both methods appear to refer to just one wire, obviously a signal wire, anyone know what the signal is, I would guess it just requires a momentary earth to turn TC on and off ?

The PDF, Fildabhilfe or Field Remedy 1508 is only useful for hatchbacks from MY 2002-2003 ! (Doesn't someone have this in English?)
On these cars the switch was forgotten but the wire between pin 26 in the connector in the footwell and pin 3 in the ABS box is present.
Other cars need to go directly from the switch to pin 3.
You can test it by grounding pin 3: the orange lamp on the dash must come on - and/or if you think there is a wire present in pin 26: ground this one first.

Pin 3 ABS module blue/red from the ABS ECU to X1 dash loom plug (pin26) via pins 5 and 6 on the TC switch exiting on the black/brown cable heading back along the X1 dash loom plug (pin25) on the brown wire down to a ground.

Switch illumination is handled by pins 2 and 4 on the TC switch pin 2 being gray/yellow going to the BCM and pin 4 being a brown down to ground.
