Which leads to the question - why bother with the expense?

Re-maps, as far as i can gather, only really affect the turbo diesels to any extent worth bothering with.

I have a 2.2Direct Petrol and there's not a lot I can do with mine either that I haven't already done. Not that it's exactly slow anyway

    Cool Hmmm

I think that people get too hung-up on how much extra power a re-map will give.

Very often its not the increased horsepower that is most noticeable, (or even necessary), but improved response and driveability

    Just my opinion...

...and they aren't too shabby on petrol turbos either!

They certainly do that, but a good extra dollop of bhp and torque is most certainly noticeable.
