    Default Empty fuse slots

    Hi all

Whilst I was checking some bits on the car yesterday, I had a quick look at the various fuses in the car and noticed there are quite a few vacant in the rear fuse box. Some are completey empty ie no wiring behind it, whilst others have wiring but no fuse fitted. Of these, fuses 8, 12 and 17 are for rear seat heating and seat climate control, and fuses 15 and 16 front seat heating left and right are fitted.

So first question, is it possible that my car (Signum Elegance 53 plate), has all the wiring and I just need to fit heater pads and switches for all systems go?

Second question why do they fit fuses for options that the car doesnt have, like fuses 19, 26 TA and Twin Audio. Fuses 28 parking distance sensors.

Also there is a 10A fuse in postion 25 in the rear box and a fuse fitted in position 4 in the front passenger compartment, the manual doesnt say what the are for, anybody know?

Had another look today and popped of the blank switch covers, which revealed connectors behind them. Which seems to confirm that some if not all of the wiring is there for heated seats.

I don't know why they do it.
I'm not sure what the plug under the hazard light switch is for ???
I do know mine has all the wireing for the heated seats. Mine's an elegance also.
I see you have the wireing for all the switchs.
You should have the wireing for the front seats in the big plug under each seat.
To check if the rear seats have the wireing to them.
Push the seat all the way forward then lift the fold handle and as the bottom of the seat pops forward hold it down and push the back of the seat back. Under the bottom of the seat their is 2 plugs 1 will be connected "airbag" 2nd plug is for the heated seat.
I'm planning on doing the heated pads in my half leather

    Hi Shan

Thanks for that, had a look see the attached pic, is that the connector you mean? If so looks like heated seats might be on the horizon.
