    Default Clay shooting

Well, among other things I have recently taken up Clay pigeion shooting at Bisley. Bloomin great fun! Just cannot shoot with both eyes open! I have to shut one to hit anything....

    Anyone else tried it?

Tried it a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it, but never really continued it after that. Would be great one week then the next week was a disaster LOL

Yes, it is great fun and very addictive I find, I also get a discount at work which helps.

When I first started going with a mate, we always turned up in jeans and trainers while everyone else was in the "correct" get up.
We looked like Dell and Rodney from that episode of Fools n Horses when they went shooting ! LOL

I used to clay shoot most Sundays.

I had a Baikal Over & Under shotgun, it was quite basic, but beautifully made & very reliable, never had any problems with the ejectors.

It was a brilliant sport & I met some real characters.

It's surprisingly difficult, there are so many factors that affect where to aim.

The smell of gunsmoke on a frosty morning. Nothing like it!

    Oh yes!

Been thinking of getting a licence, but not over keen of having a firearm in the house, even in a metal cabinet.

Yes I know it's not the same a Clay pigeon shooting, but the smell of gun powder on a frosty Sunday morning still had the same effect...

    Those were the days...
