    Default 1.9cdti sri flywheel

i have just bought a vectra 1.9cdti sri 150 and since picking it up yesterday i have noticed a noise that goes when the clutch is depressed in. Now from reading all the storys on here i assume this is the dual mass flywheel, what my question is, is how long do they usually last before they fail? it changes gear fine and the clutch is bahaving normally, just this noise sometimes not all the time but when its there it goes when u press the clutch

No specific duration or miles....I had one of mine done at less than 10k!!! Is yours still under warranty???

Can someone advise if this is a recall or only a warranty or ££££ job?

A noise that disappears when you press the clutch can also be caused by gearbox bearings.

My signum has just been in for the same problem, it has done 55k. Dealer told me it was the DMF. They fitted a new one, no questions asked all under warrenty. I took it back in this morning because the noise is louder than ever. Turns out it is a gear box, I am waiting for vauxhall to authorise the dealer to fit a new one under warrenty.

    Default 1.9cdti sri flywheel

    Hi all

I have found out that the flywheel is a 'Sachs' design and as such has planetary gears between the masses. I think this differs from the LUK types.

If anyone can elaborate that would be welcome.
