Default Uh oh.....I'm looking at VXR Pricing & Insurance!

As titled, just got home from my weekly meet up with some friends, and after some conversation, I've come home to find myself looking at the Vectra VXR's! (A Dealer near me has an 07 plate in Arden Blue!)

Um, I shouldnt be asking this, but....once I get my van next month for my mobile Valeting, I won't be using the Vectra as much, which is why I'm considoring getting a more fun one. Don't get me wrong, I love my 2.2 DTi to pieces, I find its a very smooth comfortable ride along with some grunt when I need it! But, I'm even thinking about finishing my Project car, and getting shot of it, along with the lockup which at the moment is only used to store that and the donor car!

I'm only 22, so insurance may be an issue, but will having the Estate help keep the premium down....slightly? I think I'm having an early mid-life crises!

Then again, I could always wait for the Insignia to come out, settle down, then pick up a nearly new SRi/VXR one? lol!

Don't forget about the tax and the extra fuel.

The guy that bought my S3 was 22 and that was group 20 so anythings possible if you have deep pockets but I think both versions are 18. If you love your car to pieces just keep it and save a bit every month then when the Insignia comes out after a while prices will drop. I wouldn't get the estate...not at 22.

Most insurance companies won't do online quotes, lol, I have to phone them up personally!

Big Sig, yeah thats the one in Trowbridge, havent seen it in the flesh yet, only on Vx Site.

I'll just save....wait for the price crash when the Insignia comes along (which I've spoken to the dealers and I'm getting a test drive as soon as they get one! )

I know Tax & Fuel will be more costly, along with insurance, but then, thinking about it as I type this, I'll be getting Trade insurance next month, so might not be an issue!

I quite like the Estate, didn't at first. But after seeing the one dougie had on the irmscher trip its grown on me. Also, apparently despite the extra length & weight, it isn't too noticeable difference (motorway driving anyway) than the saloon.....

If I had a 150 Diesel in Sliver, I'd probably build a replica, but as I got the 2.2 DTi, I don't think its worth it.

I use Elephant via online, are you getting a car traders policy?

If you're not borrowing go for it in a few months. I went through plenty of cars at your age time.

    What's wrong with estates?

Personally, I prefer the way they look, if I had the choice I'd go for the estate version too. Longer wheelbase, better handling
