Couple Of Q's

Right, I use my Veccy as a taxi and me dad works during the night in the car, so the dipped headlights are always on, but its blown 5 bulbs, (the original ones in the car, plus 2 replacement non-vaux ones from a car component shop, plus another vaux one which looks slightly different to the original one but fits and works all the same.

car is booked in to the dealer to see what the fault is that has made it blow so many headlight bulbs in 4 and a half months. and see if we can get it fixed free under warranty.

any ideas what the problem could be.

secondly, does anyone know if the mk5 astra H (i.e. the current shape) wipers will fit on a vectra c as they look a bit smarter than the vec ones, and I've heard they are better due to concave blades.

Just a guess, but maybe the car is configured with the wrong type of headlights or isn't modulating the bulb voltage.

I had this problem before, but there were bulbs going from all over the car, brakes, dipped beam, side lights. eventually they wiring loom on head cluster melted, so they replaced the whole unit under warranty.

when the bulb is on it is hot. going over bumps knocks the car and weakens the wire and eventually it breaks

got it back, arnold clark said nothing wrong with it, and made dad pay a £30 inspection fee as a result suppose they need to charge something if theres not a fault they can claim vauxhall for labour on under warranty, just thought it was double what they should have charged.
