    Default New toy

    Picked up my new bike today and just back in from a 12 mile cycle round the hills and the bike tracks - great bit of kit compared to my old one but f00k me the seat need changed as i feel like i have been sh@gged

    Its a Merida 850D matts trail



    I know Jon(in a state) is into his MTB'ing but is anyone else??

    Also can anyone recommend me some good tracks around Scotland as i feel like travelling

    ooogh very nice Steven. I bought a Merida last year and it's absolutely superb. Great components (although I upgraded the fork) and a fabulous ride.

    Several models below yours though I think.

    I ride 12 mile a day too on a GT i-drive 3. It is a fantastic bike with full suspension. I agree on the comment about the seats though. I had to buy a pair of padded cycling shorts.

    I love mountain biking, been a keen biker since the age of 16; been doing a lot of biking recently with the gang, throughly enjoying it... Especaiily the type of mountain biking we do, which is muddy, down hill, cross country and madness type of biking... I am looking to get a Whtye next year, after I saved for it...

    I hav been away from it for years and over the last couple of years just been biking with the kids etc but i got the bug again and thought i would treat myself

    Steve the merida's do seem to get good reviews and hopefully mine serves me as well as yours has

    nice bike! i love my scott full squishy's. had a few now. Think i'll need to save some serious pennies to get one their new models;

    looks like a top bike m8 i got a GT agressor xc2 08 love it. love biking ...you need to do glentress!!!

    Very nice bike indeed. Nice one

    I've just come back from a bike marathon in Bristol...

    Here's my baby.... Purchased it in 2003 and been going strong ever since. Used to do loads of trips into the South Downs when I lived on the coast. 'pebble popping' on the chalk trails for miles and miles....

    Its getting a bit old now, but in its day it was quite a special machine...
