    Thumbs up Standard speakers...

Upgraded the Cr4ppy standard head-unit today

Was gonna upgrade the speakers too, as I thought that factory fit ones would be rubbish (as they usually are), but in fact, theyre not too bad.

They cant handle mega bass, but mids and treble aint too bad

I know its summat you probably all know already, but thought i'd mention it...

Only problem you'll have now is that the stock speakers won't handle even the tiny (15W RMS) power output from an aftermarket HU when it's cranked up.

    Slippery slope...

I bought the Vauxhall fitment Pioneer stuff as it replaced the tweeters and speakers and fit in the same places and uses the same plugs

Thats what i'm saying Paul, EVERY car I've ever owned, the standard door speakers are cr4p cos they're so small... The Veccy ones on the other hand, are a relatively MASSIVE 6.5 inches!!

Handle the 50watts / channel from my Panny HU quite nicely considering.

Still gonna install me 12" JBL sub and Rockford Fosgate amp tho... cos i'm on that slippery slope...

They might be 6.5" but they're still only made of paper and sticky tape! My Pioneer HU has about 15W per channel (same as most aftermarket HUs) and the stock speakers started to distort long before the HU starts clipping.
