Manual Gear Linkage ?

Can someone tell me how to set the gear linkage cables - but gear lever end?
I see they both clip into the remote, but is there an easy way to set them up?
1.8 5 spd manual petrol btw

If it's a f23 box put it in neutral then lift up the gaiter and right at the bottom you'll see the cables,these go into two oblong plastic clips, lift the release clips and then on the rear of the gearstick pivot is an oversize staple,this has to be pushed into two holes on the gearstick,which will then lock the gearstick in neutral then you do up the cable clamps,put the gaiter back and the job's done,the holes are just visible on the upper gearstick shown in the second photo.http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showthread.php?t=21318

I had a go n seem to have sorted all the gears.
Mind you its now a 6spd linkage n knob but with a 5spd box, but they all seem there lol

Glad to help,Knowing VX the gearstick assembly 5 or 6 speed would fit most VX's except the auto's!
