Default Rear bumper different shade - what to do?

The rear bumper on my vec c saloon looks a different shade of silver....it annoys the hell out of me but even when I asked my sprayer about it he said he didnt think anything could be done about it. Might be the angle of the bumper, I dont know...it shouldnt look different but does.

It spoils the car, does anyone else notice this on a pre-facelift?

    Any recommended solutions?

    Ta!

First time I've heard of it on a pre-face Darren - common problem on the facelift though.

Has the rear bumper been resprayed at some point - maybe before you got the car?

I am sure it has been resprayed in the past, and certainly since I have had it... If I have it sprayed again is it going to make it better or worse ?

My rear bumper looks a shade darker. I discovered paint on the front rubber surrounds of the front n/s door which made me suspicous.

Did think of going to the dealers to raise this with them.

    (facelift 07)

Could well have been resprayed by the sound of it, but it is well known that facelifts have a difference in colour between body and bumper sometimes and especially lighter colours.
