Yeovil Air Day

Don't know how many of you know about this, so I though I would let you all know. Yeovil air day is coming up next month, it's always good but a little busy. They have aircraft both static and flying around, helicopter displays with explosions and stuff, a fair ground, field gun running, guns and all manner of other things.

Usually go to Yeovilton every year, but a lot of airshows are starting to look very similar...so have decided this year to give most shows a break, and instead of going the the usual 10 or so a year am just going to Farnborough in July....Also gives me a chance to save some money, as these aren't exactly cheap any more

I'm planning on going to RIAT next month with my gf and family - if I'm going to an airshow, might as well make it the biggest one around...

Kiwi - met some of your countrymen over in Canada last month for the annual Fincastle competition (if that means anythign to you), top bunch of guys

Hi Penfold, I know of the Fincastle competition...It's a good opportunity for various commonwealth armed forces including the Kiwis' to test their skill and technology

The ol' P-3s still smoke like a train....but great sound! They used to fly over my school at nearly roof top level doing that....Oops the anorak in me is coming out again....better revert to a petrol head...
