mpg problem

hi all i know we have been through this but i need to know if this is right or there could be something wrong. i have roughly been doing 6 miles a day in my gsi not thrashing it just taking my lad to school and back and the mpg is showing 13.5 im sure when i did this before it wasnt going below 20 so could there be something wrong or is this right? thanks in advance

slow school runs will cane the MPG... i'd expect to be getting 13's around town..

Especially as the engine will barely be up to operating temp. so that'll hurt your mpg as well.

if i drive mine hard it'll get as low as 4mpg, so 13mpg round town is quite good..

nope i bought mine for blunt speed and power, not to do 50 odd to the gallon on that stuff thats dearer than petrol..
