I have the fitting kit somewhere (at work at the moment so can't have a look until tonight), basically it consists of four pieces of card (two for the roof mounts in the boot space, and two for the mounts in the passenger space) which you line up with the roof lining and the C pillar and it marks exactly where you need to cut the holes. If they are any use to you let me know. Only point to note is to cut the holes smaller than required to start with and then open them up to get the perfect fit.

Thanks guys, one more question though, I've had the roof lining down and I can't see anywhere for the brackets to bolt to, so can you give me a clue lol, the only thing I can see is the channel for the wiring harness on r/h side.

On another note what is the long aluminium assy in the roof area on the R/h side, it has got light electrical wires going to it? I haven't had the L/h side down to look so I don't know it's the same

There should be a threaded hole just to the rear of the rear seat backs about 50cm from the rear most edge of the rear grab handles, unfortunately unlike my V40 there are no indentations to give an idea where they fit.

The long aluminum tubes are the roof airbags.

Thanks for the info, I'm starting to wonder if there where changes between the facelift and prefacelift, my grab handles are no where near the rear pillar, if anything they are nearer to the B pillar

Mines a facelift, as I say the threaded holes are roughly 50cm back into the boot space from rear grab handles thats for both pre-facelift and facelift. The fitting insructions can be found at http://www.ifz-berlin.de/ins_pdf/93181253.pdf and it's items 10 to 15 for the boot space brackets.
