    Default Month off work

    well just handed my notice in today got a new job, been told to go home and not to come back into the office.

    Best part is going to be paid in full for the month

    Get my full car allowance

    and stay at home

    god going to be board after 1st week lol

    By law they have to pay you your notice, inc all contractual benefits, like company car etc even if they don't make you work it.

    I've been off since end of March, just been doin a bit of Freelance.

    Looking for something permanent, all this time on my hands doesn't feel right and there's a mortgage to be paid !

    Since you've got something else lined up have a fab month off !!

    Happened to me once, walked in monday morning and handed in my notice. They knew I was going to a competitor and 15 minutes later and a handshake I was on my way. Business is business and they all want to protect their deals, secrets etc.

    As I recall, the then mrs leviathan put me to work decorating.

    I did this the wrong way round and walked out.... The company was supposed to offer me a full time contract but couldnt be bothered so I couldnt be bothered to stay. got a bit of time on my hands carried out a bit of work to the car done a bit of tidying up, now the weather has changed not sure what to do.

    I don't know why companies kick you off site to protect info etc.

    Any self respecting employee would gather everything they want to take with them well before they hand their notice in, surely?

    that would be just so wrong, why would anyone want to make life easy in there next job by having a list of 100's of new prospects

    That would be naughty never do that
