    Default Tyre Pressure Confusion??

Can someone please tell me what the correct tyre pressure should be for my vectra. It's a 54 plate Vectra C 1.9 CDTi (150) SRi Estate with 215/50/R17 Eagle NCT Tyres fitted. I have looked at the owners manual I have but am confused with the engine description in it, Z engines!!
Am I correct in thinking that normal load of up to 3 people the try pressure all round should be 33psi.
    Thanks
    Michael

    I believe the 1.9 CDTI 150PS is the Z19DTH

Page 273 of your handbook, covers the estate models :
    Normal
    Front - 33 PSI
    Rear - 33 PSI
    Full Load
    Front - 35 PSI
    Rear - 42 PSI

To be quite honest with you, even if the tyre pressures leak out to 32 PSI, you will hardly notice

I suspect some garages/tyre fitters think that all Vectras have the same recomm ended tyre pressure - a main dealer dropped the pressure on my 2.0T from 35 to 32 all round - it's not a ferkin 1.8! Out of date pressure charts don't help either.

Same happened to myself, car was in for service and the tyre pressures were down from 38 to 32
I asked to see the chart, and the 3.0 V6 CDTI isn't even listed!
My service record with them now has a marker on it "Do not adjust tyre pressures"

Please excuse my ignorance but are you saying my tyre pressure of 33 all round is too low and should be higher?
    Cheers

No, for his model they were too low, 33psi is right for yours.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

I had the same trouble -mine were set to 30 PSI when I noticed they were squealing on corners -the extra 9 PSI makes such a difference on the 3.0 CDTi!

    30PSI on a 3.0 V6 CDTI
You can pretty much kiss the outer edges of the tyre good bye, no wonder the tyres were screaming at you "Hoi, we're overheating down here"
