    confused FogLamp - Warranty?

I have water/moisture in my near side fog lamp - dried it out last week with a hair dryer (cheers for the tip).
But sadly it is now wet again. So it appears to be a seal of some kind gone.
Car is 55 plate due mot Oct, and I purchased in Feb - from VX dealer, with NetworkQ warranty.
Will the fog lamp unit be covered by warranty - original vx or networkq - if either - any one of em will do. Thought I would ask here first before asking the question at the dealers.

They may do but they normally say that if it clears with the light on for 20 mins or something then its ok. Its normally caused by filling the washer bottle right up. It leaks out of the neck and drips onto the fog light. Some have added those silica gel packs to help absorb the moisture. hth
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

As for the MOT, front fogs aren't tested. They'll only fail if the glass is broken and there is a risk that someone could cut themselves on it.

I have a 2007 vectra and my fog lamp was sorted under warranty. The dealers said there was a modification. It has something to do with how the lamp gets rid of moisture.

I left the access cap off, it dried out & never came back. Simple fix and it's free.

Cheers chaps - I have dried it out twice now with a hair dryer - and it just comes back. It will not dry out over a 45 min drive with the fogs on. I will try to get the dealer to replace for free when I book it in for a 20k service. I know it was serviced at when I got it in FEB at about 10k - but I want the oil changed and I reckon to get it back to the 20k/40k service interval.
    Cheers for the pointers.

Try leaving the fogs switched on for a little while, but without driving the car. See my other post for the reason why.

Big Dave - I have taken the bottom cover off and dried it out with a hair dryer ( a tip I got at the Haynes trip) - done this twice, left em on for an hour - car standing still and 2 hours on the move. Each time I dry it out it mists up in the first sight of rain.
Kns - I will go for the snorkel mod that vx recommend or ask for a new unit when I book it in for a service in Aug. It is still under warranty and the MOT is due in Oct when the car will be 3 years old.
